Where to find GPS/MET Data
GPS/MET Data is available to registered
users in three forms:
Online for browsing
- Choose the "View Data" button to go to a set of web pages which
query a database containing metadata about each
occultation observed. See the list of metadata variables.
Relevant level 2 and 3 files can be downloaded.
(see below for descriptions of data "levels").
Choose "Mission Calendar" to examine the status of the satellite over time.
Online for download
- Choose the "FTP Archive" button to access the FTP site containing
raw data and intermediate files which are not accessible directly
through the "View Data" section.
About GPS/MET data
The following data products are
available via ftp or the web
to registered
users in the scientific community:

- CMP file --
Contain decimated GPS/MET level 3 data for an entire day, alongside
profiles at the same time and location taken from other data sources. These files
are in NetCDF format. GPS/MET data is combined with data from ancillary
sources to compensate for water vapor's effect on refractivity.
- Tem file -- ASCII-formatted file containing
the same variables as the Megafile, but limited to the range
of 0 to 60 km altitude, and decimated to 200 meters.

Status Reports

Daily status reports prepared by Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) and by staff at the
Payload Operations Control Center (POCC).
