7. The Team, Sponsors, and Funding
The GPS/MET Team consists of a small program office at UCAR, plus co-PIs at
UCAR/UNAVCO, UCAR/NCAR/MMM, the University of Arizona, and JPL. AOA and OSC
are the primary industrial partners.
GPS/MET is sponsored by NSF, FAA, and NOAA. Collectively, these sponsors
have committed $2.8M for the Phase I Program. In addition, NASA is providing
funding directly to JPL to support expansion of JPL's fiducial network for
GPS/MET and other related activities.
