GPS/MET Reprocessing Schedule
The GPS/MET program staff is in the process of reprocessing much of its
historical data, with a set of significantly improved software.
After all thirteen periods are processed, GPS/MET intends to publish the data
via World Wide Web, CD, and magnetic tape.
The following projected reprocessing schedule is provided for data
users who may need certain data items sooner than the fall of 1997. To
make a specialized data request, use the
feedback form to submit your request.
Abbreviations:
- PT
- Prime Time -- Period when A/S was off and
satellite geometry was good. There are four such periods
to date, numbered 1-4 (for historical reasons). Each PT is also a GPT.
- GPT
- Geometric Prime Time -- Period when satellite
geometry was good. These are lettered A-M. The set of
GPT's includes the set of PT's as a subset.
- FTX
- FASTEX Experiment -- Some days are being reprocessed which were
not GPTs, but were interesting because they were during the FASTEX
experiment period. FTX are numbered 1-3, where FTX 2 is the same as
PT4, and FTX 1 and 3 are the periods before and after PT4.
Note: some date ranges are extended here to include
interesting adjacent data; for example if A/S remained off
after the GPT ended.
