Many exciting research facilities and projects are either being planned or being carried out in East Asia countries.
These include GPS remote sensing, model and data assimilation system development, and mesoscale field experiments.
Participation in these projects and collaboration with research and operational institutions in East Asia countries
will allow us to leverage resources from these countries and allow us to make significant advances in atmospheric research.
Collaboration with these projects and facilities will provide valuable education, research and international training for U.S.
students and junior scientists.
