Meeting Venue

This event will be held at UCAR's Foothills Lab campus (FL2) (MAP) located in Boulder, Colorado, USA. Boulder is at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains and offers stunning views of the famous Flatirons. The Foothills Lab campus links to miles of hiking trails, is close to Chautauqua and the famous Pearl Street Mall.

Transportation

Getting To/From Boulder

Denver International Airport (DEN) is a 45 minute drive to Boulder and the UCAR Foothills Lab campus.

Transportation options at DEN:

  • Uber and Lyft are readily available and cost around $70-$120 depending on the time of day and available capacity.
  • RTD bus runs frequently between DEN and Boulder. See RTD Schedules. The AB1 Bus travels from the Denver Airport to several stops in Boulder. The Regional/Airport day ticket is valid for one day of transportation and costs about $10.

 

Getting Around Boulder

Uber / Lyft  are readily available in all areas of Boulder.

BCycle - UCAR has arranged free access for using BCycle electric bicycles for local use, with docking stations near the hotel and near all UCAR campuses. 

Instructions for BCycle use:

  • Sign Up Here for BCycle
  • Choose “Monthly Pass”
  • Enter promo code UCAR30 and your email address to register for free
  • Continue the registration process, making sure to deselect the auto-renewal feature to avoid being charged full price upon expiration of your pass
  • Confirm that your total is $0 before finalizing your new account
  • Download the BCycle App to get directions to the closest available bike and to unlock the bike for your use

 

Lodging

We’ve secured a special room rate of $173/night for our event dates at the Residence Inn by Marriott at Center Green (MAP). Complimentary Wi-Fi and plug-in points for charging will be available in the meeting spaces. Presentation laptops will be provided during the presentation sessions.
